Oh my gosh, I never made the connection that Giles was the Nescafe neighbor!

Those were the days… when even commercials were scripted dramas. Now TV is “reality” and reality looks like a commercial. Weird.

I just finished my Rita books, which according to the rules are outside the genre I write in. This year I found one author whose books I’ll be hunting down. It’s always a fun adventure, because usually I’ve read none of the writers on the judging sheet. I’m obliged to expand my horizons!

I just found THE HUNDRED THOUSAND KINGDOMS by N.K. Jemisin. It’s a court intrigue fantasy with fallen gods and whatnot. Very cool. I’m also reading an Eric Schlosser book on the evils of fast food. (Really, does anybody read his books that isn’t already a believer? Still, the segment on how they make identical French fries is fascinating.)

I’m also reading a book on business identity design, a yoga book, J.R. Ward’s BBD insider’s guide which I’d somehow missed, and some gloomy but much feted fictional addict memoir (from the library, that one).

So I guess I bounce around

Kim - no way!!! I shake my head at this. Especially in today’s electronic world, I’d be THRILLED if my kids got lost in a book. Sigh. They’d rather play online games and FB - where they don’t even spell correctly! (says I, who just used the FaceBook acronym…)
